ABOUT THIS CALCULATOR
1) Click the button to "clear all fields" near the top right hand corner of the calculator, then enter the details of the mortgage you would like to determine the payment for in the top section of the calculator.
2) Optional: If you would like to create an amortization schedule which includes dates, you can enter the closing date into the "Closing Date" field. Normally the interest adjustment date and the closing date are the same, but some lenders may for example, set an interest adjustment date to the first day of the proceeding month. The first payment date is most often a month, two weeks, or one week after the closing date, depending on the chosen payment frequency. If you are unsure of the interest adjustment and first payment dates, leave them blank.
3) Click on "Save Amortization Schedule as PDF" to create a PDF copy of the amortization schedule which shows the details of each payment for the term, as well as the declining and ending balance. You do not need to enter a closing date, interest adjustment date, or first payment date to create an amortization schedule.
ABOUT THIS CALCULATOR
1) Click the button to "clear all fields" near the top right hand corner of the calculator, and you're ready to go!
2) Since the calculator uses a true comparison, the payment amount in Table B must be equal to the total of all payments in table A, however if you choose a lower payment on your mortgage than is stated in table B, the savings will be in the form of cashflow rather than interest savings. Please contact us for a revised cashflow savings calculation.
3) You will need to know the penalty amount to break your mortgage. If you are unsure of what the penalty to break your mortgage is at this time, please contact us. Penalty calculations formulas differ depending on the lender.
4) What rate you will receive for your debt consolidation depends on a few factors. Please contact us for an estimation of what rate you will receive.
